Description
As the Ski School & Snowboard Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in working with the Ski & Snowboard School Director, co-supervisors, other departmental managers, and a team of 50+ Instructors. Your primary responsibility will be to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests and employees while fostering a safety culture. You will supervise the ski and snowboard school staff, oversee the operations of lessons/programs, manage indoor and outdoor facilities/teaching areas, and assist with daily staffing and lesson assignments. In addition, you will handle administrative duties such as payroll entry, scheduling, training, and uniform distribution. Sometimes, you must teach guests and perform other assigned duties.
Experience (Required)
- Current PSIA/AASI Level I certification or equivalent.
- Point of sale and software system exposure and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and guest service skills.
- An excellent skier/rider with technical knowledge of skiing/snowboarding and snow sports safety.
- Able to work long and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluent verbal and written communication in English.
- Experience working with children.
- Pass a background check.
Preferred Experience
- 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience in a Ski & Ride School or other outdoor recreation operation.
- PSIA-AASI Level II/III certification or equivalent.
- Spanish language fluency.
- College degree/experience in a relevant field.
Education Required
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
